		<description>Thanks. Works perfectly for hiding the Time Machine backup folder on Snow Leopard. The command I used was &quot;sudo chflags hidden /Volumes/Silver/Backups.backupdb&quot; where Silver is the name of my external drive.</description>

		<description>I just tried this, but it does not seem to work for user folders. I don&#039;t know if this does exactly the same thing or not, but creating a text document with the names of files you would like to be hidden called .hidden will hide the relavent files if in the same directory.</description>
