• My facial hair is itchy. #
• I WANT TO GO HOME. I’m so over today. #
• I hate it when there are floaties in my coffee. #
• Flight center have the best customer service i have ever experienced. They should be given some sort of prize. Well done flight center. #
• yay i’m finally off work. Just have to pick up some bits and i can head home. #
• I just purchased a cutlass. Yarr. P-D #
• At home, writing a quick blog post, then installing kubuntu. #
• Playing with my sword and installing ubuntu. #
• Not having much luck with computers today. #
• Just got up, getting ready for my first day of work for Red Block Internet Consultants. #
• Just got word that T and I are going to Basketball on Saturday night. Can’t wait. Is there a spare seat for the chubbinator? #

Cutlass

In preparation for a totally cool pirate party that I’m going to on Saturday, I bought myself a cutlass today.

It’s way cool – original Pirates of the Carribean toy (not some rip off). It makes noises when you swing it, and when you hit something with it, and it lights up and everything!

Other preparations include growing my facial hair, and considering wearing too much smudged eye-liner (just like good ‘ol Cap’n Jack Sparrow).

Site Updates

Obviously there have been some updates on the design of my blog.

Changes include:

• New Theme
• Link back to homepage
• Calendar widget
• Added Mandy to blogroll
• Last tweets from my twitter account
• My IM status (whether or not I’m online)

Also, there will automatically be a blog post at the end of each day with that days tweets!

There will most likely be a few small UI tweaks here and there over the next couple of weeks, but I think the way it looks now is here to stay for a while. Thank you wordpress api.

One more thing: If anyone can think of some text (maybe Rhys Rodgers?) to put on my introduction page, to make people introduce themselves, that would be appreciated. I like Mike’s, for example.

• Heading up to the coast to watch the origin with t. Remind me to never take one of those energy drinks before a 2 hour train ride. I’ve neve #
• Not a good start to the day. I spent 3 hours this morning throwing $75 down the drain. Thank goodness for t, or i’d be a wreck. #
• Good news for us geeks: google is acquiring feedburner. $100mil is exchanging hands for it. #

Twitter Updates for 2007-05-22

• Pretty easy at work today – not a whole heap of customers, though the ones that are coming through are annoying. I finish early today. #
• Todays plan: Work, go home, clean house, do dishes, make dinner, meet T, have meeting, CS, bed. #
• Phew, just finished cleaning my house for the past hour and a half. Ready for T to come visit! I’m really looking forward to it. #
• Just got a lot of information down for our business plan. It’s a lot of work – I’m talking a 20 page document. Lots of research. Thanks T! #
• Ready for work, leaving soon. Hopefully it won’t be too busy today, though I suspect it will be. Not feeling that wonderful right now. #

Bugger of a day

Okay today was not good.

On top of losing my wallet, and getting soaked walking through the rain, work was very busy and stressful. I guess it could be worse.

I did got my wallet back and I did get to have a warm shower. It’s not all bad.

And as for the stressful work, well, a scotch on the rocks is fixing that as we speak.

I also decided to stop putting a jump in my blog posts, so you don’t have to click the read more link anymore.

Interesting story how I found out about Dancing About Architecture.

I told my sister about a band called Architecture in Helsinki. I showed her a song or two and she liked it. When her friend told her about a band called Dancing About Architecture, she thought it was the same band.
