  • Today is going quite slow. Can’t believe I’ve only been here for an hour - it feels like 3.
  • Driving past brisbane’s church of scientology. It’s had multiple bricks thrown through it’s windows.
  • Oh bugger - only $45 left on my cap till the 12th.
  • Suggesting that Luke is already paying for two $49 caps, maybe Mandy can help me with the difference? ;) :P P-D
  • Wondering how Ben’s day was, and if he got Twitter to work on his phone.

Google NotebookAs you may have noticed from earlier blog posts, I love GTD, and use Google Notebook as my GTD base. I use this to work, and achieve my short and long term goals. But first, you may be asking, 'What is GTD?'.

GTD® is the popular shorthand for "Getting Things Done®", the groundbreaking work-life management system and book by David Allen that transforms personal overwhelm and overload into an integrated system of stress-free productivity.

GTD is about working SMARTER. It's actually really simple, and probably comes naturally to a lot of people. So here are some easy to follow instructions on how to make your life a whole lot easier with Google Notebook, on the jump. (more…)

  • @bennycarbis : I don’t usually update this often. You can set up the phone thing if you sign into your account on twitter, you should see it
  • Drafting up a blog post, and waiting to get home so I can upload some more images for a few more posts.
  • Sucks that secret messages don’t work. I think Mandy probably figured that out a while ago!
  • @bennycarbis You should get the misses on twitter.
  • Lunch time! Yay! I can’t remember the last time that I had a mandarin. : /
  • Lunch is over. Back to work. :( Not long to go now… just like… 2.75 hours.
  • I just took the plastic off the screen of my phone. That’s a big deal for me.
  • Found a pretty cool site. Makes me want to spend $$$. Check out dealighted.com - if only there was an aussie section.
  • Almost finished for the day! 25 minutes to go. Yay. This afternoons plan as follows:
  • @bennycarbis You got text messaging set up on your phone with twitter yet?
  • Phew. Just finished hacking up some PHP so now there’s a search feature on my site. Take a look at all it’s AJAXy goodness. Hard work.
  • @bennycarbis There should be a Set up Phone option at the very bottom of the sidebar, once you’ve signed in to your twitter account.
  • Why is it that nobody except Talia (and occasionally Mandy) ever comments my blog posts? I should ask more questions, methinks.
  • Luke is currently at war with ubuntu.
  • Up and at ‘em, tiger…

Maroochydore Clippers vs Brisbane CapitalsWe went and saw the Basketball on Saturday night.

I must say, I’m not usually one for sport, but watching the Maroochdore Clippers play the Brisbane Capitals live was quite fun.

The free drinks (and nibblies) didn’t hurt either.

We got box seat tickets from T’s Dad, who gets them from work. Hopefully, we can go again another time, maybe our team won’t get beaten!

The experience has opened me up to live sport, at least when you don’t have to pay to get in.

Pirate Party PicTalia had her birthday party on Saturday. It was a pirate party, and it was lots of fun.

We all dressed up and played pirate games (like capture the flag, rob the nest and treasure hunt), and ate pirate food (lollies and chocolate money).

We went on a treasure hunt with clues and a map, and it lead us to a treasure chest in the end.

After that, we went to the movies to see Pirates of the Caribbean 3, and had a jolly good time. Before the movie started, I questioned the audience in my pirate costume and my best pirate voice and my sword if there were to spare seats. I was asked if I was being paid. We ended up sitting up in the very front row, on the very right hand side.

The movie was great, in my opinion, the best of the three. I love the way the plot got rather complicated but I was able to follow along. I can understand how there might be some negative criticism from people who aren’t as smart as I am.

All in all, a swashbuckling good day, I must say. Watch for the green flash when the sun sets.
