Self Improvement

thumb36Self improvement isn’t exactly a hobby of mine, but it can’t hurt too much, right?

There is an exercise at Talia’s Life, one of my favourite blogs, that helps you give yourself a kick up the backside when it comes to making yourself better at yourself.

Here’s me:

5 Things I Like / Am Good At:

1. Technology. I know this is spreading my butter pretty thin on the toast, but I reckon I’ve got a natural nack for anything tech. If I don’t already know a bit about it, I’ll pick it up pretty easy. But I probably already know a bit about it.

2. Budgeting. I love to plan where my money goes each month.

3. Teaching. I think I’ve inherited a natural aptitude for teaching from my Dad.

4. English. I wouldn’t say I have a way with words – but I certainly am arsy about punctuation, grammar, and such. I think I know my language pretty well.

5. Cunning. I didn’t really know how to label this attribute. Another way to put it maybe – pirating. Some call it Social Engineering. I’m an excellent thief, pirate, con artist, all-around-bad-guy. I can almost always find a way. I just need to find some way to work my talents for good, and not for evil – to give me a future and a hope. At the moment – I don’t use these talents at all.

5 Things I Need/ Want To Improve On:

1. Finish things that I start. I’ve a terrible habit of never finishing anything that I start.

2. Fitter. I know this is a stock standard response – and that I’m already pretty fit – but I’d like to be stronger and faster.

3. Happier. Less Stress.

4. Communication. Communicating my thoughts, particularly to Talia, in a way that can be easily understood, and not misinterpreted. WOMEN: If I say something that can be interpreted two different ways, and one of the ways upsets you – I meant the other way.

5. God. I need to improve my relationship with God.
