Shopping

Woke up this morning in Rosebud. I’m sick of the place. At least I was.

I had a hot shower, the best I’d had in weeks, and went shopping.

It was a DFO center, so I got heaps of bargins, and ended up spending a bit over $100.

Today will be a very simple blog as I am slightly tipsy and my fingers aren’t typing properly.

The Rest of Boxing Day

So today I finally was able to connect to the net. Woohoo! Hijacked from Uncle Greg’s next door neighbour.

So after Australia slaughtered England at the cricket (not that I was really watching it) and Warny’s 5 wickets, I played Quake with Chubb, which was fun, then went back to Phil’s, where Ben and I are staying by ourselves.

Boxing Day

There’s a tradition, in the Carbis’ family, more important than Christmas. Boxing day.

It involves watching the boxing day test match, and drinking beer. Lots of beer.

As we speak, I’m chatting to T on ‘borrowed’ wireless internet , downloading MSN Messenger in windows, writing this blog, ripping the Star Wars movies from a Bali DVD, watching the cricket, and drinking VB.

Christmas #3

That’s right, folks, I’ve had three Christmases this year. Woohoo for me.

The third Christmas happened at Nanna and Pa’s house. The whole Carbis’ family were there, all four generations of us. The oldest, Gran & Bill, stormed out half way through lunch because of some passing joking comment made about Bill’s brother by my Dad, causing a family blue that will last at least a few years, and costing Hannah the inheritance of a $12,000 ring.

 

The Real Christmas

We flew into Melbourne yesterday. It’s cold. Very cold.

And I have no internet.

At least, not on my laptop. I have internet explorer on a PC. I’m not game to download firefox in the house I’m staying in. So… limited internet. You won’t be reading this until I’m back on the 2nd or 3rd of Jan.

I had my second Christmas tonight. Here’s a list of what I got. Thank you everyone for everything!

1. $20 Starbucks voucher

The present I want but would never buy for myself #1. Thanks heaps for this Amon – it will be well used. Good thinking.

Christmas #1

So last night was Christmas with my folks, at their house. Here’s a summary of the presents that I received:

1. An Aladdin’s Lamp

Hannah, my sister, got me a wonderful lamp, straight out of Aladdin. I love it. It’s exactly the kind of thing I would see in a store and say “I just have to have that”.

 

I’m a Geek

Today has been a very geeky day.

The first thing I did this morning was check up on what has changed on the Apple rumour scene overnight, on the internet. I reached over beside my bed, pulled my laptop up, and browsed away.
